How we handle your data
This notice explains how Groove.na collects, uses, and protects personal information when you browse events, buy tickets, or manage an organiser or merchant account. We keep the language plain so guests and organisers know what to expect.
1. What information we collect
- Account details – your name, email address and, optionally, phone number.
- Ticket and order data – which events you bought tickets for, quantities, and timestamps.
- Technical information – basic device and usage data (such as browser type, approximate location and pages visited) to keep the service secure and improve performance.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your Groove.na account.
- To issue, display and validate tickets at events.
- To send transactional emails about your orders and event changes.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
3. Sharing with organisers and partners
When you buy a ticket, some of your details are shared with the organiser of that event, for example:
- Your name and ticket quantity.
- Contact details such as email or phone number, where needed for event communications or guest list management.
We only share what is necessary to run the event safely and in line with applicable privacy laws.
4. Payments and sensitive data
Card and wallet payments are processed by certified third‑party providers. Those providers handle your full card details — Groove.na does not store complete card numbers or CVV codes on its servers.
5. Data retention
Ticket and order records are typically kept for as long as required for financial, audit and safety reasons. Account‑level data could be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask for deletion and local law allows it.
6. Your choices and rights
- Update your account details from your profile area.
- Opt out of non‑essential marketing (where enabled) at any time.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational requirements.
7. Cookies and analytics
Groove.na uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as keeping you signed in, as well as for analytics to understand how the service is used. Any non‑essential tracking is explained clearly and, where required by law, offered as an opt‑in.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our data practices change. When we make important changes, we will highlight them in the app or by email so you can review them.
