Terms & conditions

The rules of using Groove

These terms govern your use of Groove as a guest, ticket buyer, or account holder. By creating an account or completing a purchase, you agree to them. Event-specific terms set by organisers apply to your attendance at each event.

1. What this platform does

Groove is a ticketing platform that connects event organisers with guests. When you buy a ticket, you enter into an agreement with the organiser of that event, not with Groove itself. We provide the technology and payment infrastructure to discover, purchase, and manage tickets, including digital passes and cashless wallet features where enabled.

2. Your account and security

  • You are responsible for keeping your login details private.
  • If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and contact support immediately at info@groove.com.na.
  • Use a strong, unique password. Where available, enable multi‑factor authentication on your account.

3. Tickets and admission

Tickets issued through Groove are digital and tied to your account. Organisers or their door staff scan your QR code or barcode to validate entry.

  • Each ticket is valid for the event, date, time, and venue specified on the ticket.
  • Organisers may set their own rules for re‑entry, age limits, dress code, and other house policies.
  • Misuse, tampering, or duplication of tickets can result in cancellation without refund.

4. Pricing, fees and currency

Ticket prices, fees, and accepted payment methods are set by each organiser in consultation with Groove. Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in Namibian dollars (N$) and include any VAT or sales tax that applies. Service fees or payment gateway charges are shown separately during checkout before you confirm payment. Card payments are subject to our Card Payment Terms.

5. Refunds, cancellations and changes

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the organiser's policy, summarised on the event page and in our Refunds & cancellations policy. As a general rule, events that go ahead as planned are non‑refundable unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. Cashless wallets and wearables

Where an event offers cashless payments, wallet top-ups and spending are subject to the organiser's event terms. Unused balances may be refundable only where the organiser's policy allows. Wearable devices linked to your account remain your responsibility — report lost or stolen wearables to event staff promptly.

7. Prohibited behaviour

  • Unauthorised resale or scalping of tickets at inflated prices.
  • Using the platform to harass, abuse, or defraud organisers or other guests.
  • Attempting to interfere with the security or normal operation of the service.
  • Sharing account credentials or transferring tickets in ways that breach organiser rules.

8. Liability and service availability

We work to keep Groove available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Groove is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from event cancellations, changes in line‑up, or technical issues, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved directly should be referred to the competent courts in Namibia, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we publish the new version here and notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of Groove after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
